Recognition of Prior Learning
In appropriate cases Deanmac will credit students who believe
they have achieved the required outcomes of a course or module
subject to their claim being substantiated with evidence of
prior learning or training.
The evidence required to prove prior learning may be:
- Direct evidence of training provided by means of a certified
copy of a certificate of attainment or qualification issued
a Registered Training Organization.
- Indirect evidence where the student cannot produce direct
evidence of prior learning. This will require written evidence
demonstrating how the assessment criteria have been met or
the application of a challenge test.
A fee may be applied for assessment or recognition of prior
learning.
Fees and Charges
All fees relating to the delivery of courses will be invoiced
to the student or client on completion of delivery of the course
or module.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you wish to postpone your attendance to a later course,
or wish to substitute another person, notification must be
received at least 11 working days prior to the commencement
of the course.
Cancellation within 10 working days will incur a cancellation
fee of 50% of the course fee. The full fee will be charged
if cancellation
is received less than 2 working days prior to the course commencement.
Complaints and Appeals
Deanmac has an established process for the hearing and resolution
of complaints or appeals for re-assessment by students. When
a complaint has been notified, all circumstances of the complaint
will be investigated and reviewed. If a student believes that
the assessment process was not conducted in a fair and equitable
manner the student may appeal and request re-assessment as
provided for within the company’s procedures.
